Collegiate esports recruitment
A recruitment film for East Central University’s collegiate esports program, told by the director and the students who chose it.
A university recruiting esports players is competing with every other program in the country for the same few hundred people, and a facility photo does not settle it. What settles it is hearing from the coach and from players who already made the decision.
We built the film around both: the director explaining how the program started and where it is going, and students saying — in their own words — why they came, including one who says college was never in the cards until this.
It is shot in the lab where they actually practise, because a recruit knows the difference between a room that gets used and a room that gets photographed.
