Top Notch Electrician — recruitment film
Hiring film for an electrical contractor
A hiring film that opens by telling the wrong applicants not to apply — the owner’s standard, in his own words.
Trades hiring is not a shortage of applications. It is a shortage of the right ones, and every job post reads the same. So this film opens with the owner saying the quiet part: if you are not trying to be the best at what you do, this is not the job for you.
From there he tells the story most of his crew has never heard — how he and his wife started the company, why electrical work caught him in the first place, and what the word “top notch” is supposed to mean from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.
A recruitment video that repels the wrong candidate is doing its job. The company that ran this one already knows what happens when video is pointed at customers; this is the same tool pointed inward.
