Privacy policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
This policy covers mediadepot.com, operated by The Media Depot LLC of McKinney, TX. It explains what we collect on this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to protect us from you.
What we collect
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, the type of project you have in mind, and whatever you write in the message. That goes to our inbox and is also written to a log on our own server so an email failure can’t lose an enquiry.
When you just visit
Our web server keeps standard request logs: the IP address the request came from, the browser’s user-agent string, the page requested, and the time. Every website does this, and it is what lets us see errors and abuse.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages get read, which pieces of work get watched, and whether people find the contact details. It uses cookies and similar identifiers, and it records an approximate location derived from the IP address. We also record when someone taps a phone number, taps an email address, or successfully sends the contact form.
Google processes that data on our behalf. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google’s browser add-on.
Analytics does not run on our staging or preview sites, and no analytics tag loads on any domain other than mediadepot.com.
Video
Some pages embed videos from YouTube using youtube-nocookie.com, which avoids setting YouTube’s tracking cookies unless you press play. Once you play an embedded video, YouTube receives the request and applies Google’s privacy policy. Videos we host ourselves involve no third party at all.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and quote your project.
- To keep a business record of work we have been asked to do.
- To see which parts of the site are useful and fix the parts that are not.
- To keep the site secure and available.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We will not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
Who else sees it
- Google — Analytics, and Workspace for the email we receive.
- Our hosting provider — the server that runs this site and stores its logs.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email and project records for as long as we might reasonably need them for the work or our accounts. Server logs rotate on a short cycle. Analytics data follows the retention period set in the Google Analytics property.
Your choices
You can decline cookies or clear them in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on above, or simply call us instead of using the form.
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Residents of other states may have similar rights. To use any of them, email hello@mediadepot.com from the address you contacted us with, and we will respond.
Children
This site is for businesses hiring a production crew. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Filming, photography and your images
This policy is about the website. Usage rights for footage and photographs we shoot for you — who can use what, where and for how long — are covered in the agreement for that project, not here.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be summarised here rather than quietly edited in.
